The XC display will enable you to remote locate PCs up to 500
feet from where you want the display to be located. Not only
is the video supported up to 500 feet, as support and connectivity
for keyboard, mouse, audio, and serial for touch screen are all
made available at the display. Based on the wide variety of applications
being created today we have built in this flexibility to better
allow you to decide on the functionality to expose to your users
based on your application
needs.

The connection
from the PC to the display is made through CAT 5 cable (common network
cable), which is very cost effective ranging from 8 to 15 cents
per foot and is very easy to terminate. Local or remote power options
are available. This simple approach also allows you to change
the display location with greater ease and reduced cost.
They’ll love this even more! Increase the security of
your data and help maintain a virus free network. By nature
and due to the separation of PC and display this also means the
user will no longer have access to the disk drives at a local workstation,
whereby the user can no longer intentionally or inadvertently place
corrupt data on to the network. In addition this will reduce the
possibility for theft of your valuable data, saving you lot’s
of time and money in the long run!
There are benefits on the User side as well! At the
XC display you’ll find connections for your keyboard,
mouse and desktop speakers. With removal of the PC imagine all
the room and cleanliness you can add to your workstation by simply
connecting a single CAT5 cable directly from the PC location to
the XC display!
